It was nice to get the RSVR out for a run around the local back roads today. The MOT is due next week and I wanted a good shakedown of the bike to ensure everything is working correctly.
I had recently experience an oil leak on one of the fork legs, however this is know to be a common problem when RSVs are left standing for a while., which was the case last time when the bike was on my workshop lift for 6 months.
No sign of oil leaks on the RSV today and everything else was in top condition and felt great on the twisty roads. The suspension needs some more fine tuning, which is something I didn’t have time to finish after the rear suspension rebuild earlier this year.
RSV MOT time
Hopefully more fun times ahead and fingers crossed for the MOT next Friday! All washed and ready for the inspection at John Parker Motorcycles. If you are looking for great service and MOTs in the Southend-on-Sea area, I’d always recommend checking-in with Steve Parker at John Parker Motorcycles.
