Heading out in the rain

The rain had been constant throughout out the night, and the rain clouds were still low and grey when I packed the bike to leave on the morning.

Today I’m riding to Prince George via highway 16, and hoping the rain would start to ease when I started to head west towards McBride. Fortunately the sky did brighten and the rain broke when I cleared Valemount, providing more opportunity to take in the scenery and superb road.

After stopping at McBride for lunch, it was an easy afternoon ride in to Prince George before sunset. For the first time in a while my satellite navigation proved very helpful when trying to locate my hotel when navigating the junctions within Prince George.

My hotel was located next to a Denny’s diner, so I would be enjoying a hearty lunch and breakfast before heading to Smithers in the morning.
