After a long interruption it was time visit the Copdock show again in 2022 and what a difference the weather makes! A couple of years ago it was torrential rain and very little to see at the show, this year we had amazing sunshine from dawn until dusk.
The outdoor display area was packed with autojumble, trade stands, and exhibition rides for trials and grass track. The indoor exhibition and covered areas provided another great year of beautifully restored classic bikes, custom bikes, and owners groups with many bygone manufacturer machines. A friend had their amazing yellow Ducati 250 Desmo on display!!
If you looking for advice or perhaps some inspiration for a classic bike project you’ll have plenty of bikes to look at and the owners groups are always very friendly and keen to attract new members. If you already have a motorcycle project underway you may also find some hidden gems within the autojumble stands, in addition to the trade stands with a great selection of tools, specialist equipment, and riding gear. Also remember to check out our workshop tools article for some potential ideas.
You also have the chance to enter the raffle to win a classic restored motorcycle, this year was a first generation Honda CBR900RR Fireblade. Fingers crossed I have the winning ticket. If you haven’t been to Copdock before I’d recommend adding to your motorcycle events calendar for 2023.
Ride safe,
Al
