Armstrong MT500 2 Project bikes – Both with V5, ideal restoration projectseBay
This listing is for 2 x Armstrong MT500 Ex-Military bikes, which are being sold together as one lot.
Most viewers of this listing will be well aware of the history of these legendary late 1980’s Military workhorses.

This is an ideal opportunity to start your Armstrong relationship or indeed extend your existing one!

These two specimens have just arrived in this week, and can be described as genuine “barn-find”, a term that often used, it has become a cliche in the classic vehicle world.
This lot of two bikes is best treated as a jigsaw puzzle project for the very brave.
The bikes have correct original VIN plates, are both registered with DVLA, and we have applied for replacement V5’s as originals have been lost during many years of being stored unused.
The more complete bike had new piston fitted before being laid up, but has now seized through standing, presumably on the cylinder bore.
Upon dismantlement, this may well free-off and hone up to be usable again.
Wheels are good on both bikes, forks OK, both have rear rack and pannier frames, and there is a very good original fuel tank for each bike. Military technical repair manual also included!
Each bike has an engine, the loose engine turns over, but seems to have part of the generator assembly missing.
Best viewed as a project to make one bike out of the two with plenty of surplus spares, or a brave recommissioning project to resurrect two classic Military machines, out of only 2300 units that were ever made.
Photo’s show everything that is included, (except for storage stillage!), of course this is a gamble, and it is difficult to evaluate what small items may be missing and need to be sourced upon rebuild, but these bikes are far too good to break for ever, and deserve to roll again sometime.

We at Force Motorcycles are well known in the MT & Rotax world after over 30 years of specialising in these machines.
Check our website for parts availability, eBay will also be great for sourcing any missing parts, once the fun starts!
Buyer to collect form Staffordshire, V5’s should be back with us end of July, if you need them before then, you have done very well indeed!

Priced sensibly to sell, be quick, don’t miss this restoration opportunity.

Buyer to make contact with £200 deposit by BACS at transaction agreement, with balance and collection within a further 7 days.
