This week we found this awesome barn find OSSA 250 Pioneer listed on USA ebay as “unknown makes”. However on closer inspection of the listed it was clearly a rare 1972 OSSA 250 Pioneer which has obviously been off the road for a few years.
OSSA is a Spanish motorcycle brand made popular by two stroke motorcycles, primarily for off-road use. The OSSA motorcycle company was created in 1924 and ceased trading in its original form in 1982.
North America has always been a popular market for the lightweight two stroke motorcross bikes where the domestic suppliers such as Harley Davidson focused on the large capacity v-twins for highway use.
Barn find OSSA 250 Pioneer condition and age
As with any barn find motorcycle which is over four decades old you’ll need to set aside some time and money to thoroughly check the bike attempting to start and ride. You may want to check out our recent workshop tools article to help you on your way if restoration and servicing is new to you.
This bike appears to be in near original condition and would be a great starting point for a resto-ride to enjoy or bike to display and show. Click on the above pictures to open the auction listing or follow this link.
