Honda CBR 250RR MC22, 1993, 12 Months MOT

This is a 1993 Honda CBR 250RR MC22, aka the ‘baby blade,’ and they’re pretty rare. It has 12 months MOT, one key and the V5 in my name. It was imported and declared new in 1993, and the speedo is in kilometres (with a big MPH overlay on the glass). It’s on 32,952km.

It’ll need collecting from Llandysul in West Wales.

I’ve owned this since 2019 and when I got it (literally a barn find, stored in a barn) it’d been parked up since October 2006 – it still had its last tax disc on it. It then stood in my garage until a couple of months ago, when I finally recommissioned it with a new battery, fork seals, air filter, fuel filter, choke cable, oil filter and oil. The carbs were checked and cleaned, as was the tank, and it now starts instantly and runs well.

It’s generally in good condition (no advisories on the MOT, even), though it’s not immaculate – it has various scuffs and scratches from its early years, and there’s a dent in the tank. Also, while the lefthand lower fairing is an authentic part in the right colours, it’s from a different year and the stickers don’t properly match.

Though this is rideable and road legal, it stood so long it really needs a proper going over before it’s used. All I’ve done is get it up and running again – I’ve not even ridden it. It’s a 31 year-old bike and, as I said, has sat in dry storage for the last 18 years. It’s a lovely little thing with some impressive design touches and deserves some love from an enthusiast!

Any questions (bar stupid ones like ‘what’s your lowest price mate’) don’t hesitate to ask.

Cheers
