BSA B40 WD 350cc 1967 Mk1 model
Great opportunity to purchase this really nice 1967 Ex WDB40. Engine and gearbox rebuilt end of last year by RTS Racing in Gloucestershire. New Amal Premier carb, new wiring loom, new tyres, tubes and wheel bearings. Wheels have both been balanced.
Vape electronic ignition.
Original BSA Owners Club assisted MOD printed records with original Army Number. Bike first civilian registered on an X plate. I have kept the black and white number plate as it was registered in 67-68 as all the rest.
This bike was used by the Army in Germany BAOR sometime as a Military Police bike.
Recent chain and sprockets, I have kept the almost unobtainable front top and bottom small guards off and these will go with the bike too.
Also comes with the original Amal butterfly carb. Pannier racks fitted. Hard to get hold of these days.
Comes with original receipts, some MOTs, the parts book and service book.
I have some original used extra cables bought from J and J Cables, good as patterns or could be used.
Still has the genuine low ratio gearbox that the trials fraternity are always after, Roger has serviced the gearbox as well as the oil pump etc. See his paperwork for other details.
This bike is no show pony, museum piece, appears to have had a few previous attempts to get the correct Army colour, as do they all, unless ones having a new paint job which I would not do.
Has a small oil leak below the gear change, may be overfilled and settling down. ATF fluid in the clutch side as recommended by others.
Priced to sell at £3600, cash on sale or bank transfer cleared before the bike is taken away.
Phone on 07595344191 for any other details.
