READ THE LISTING CAREFULLY THEN READ IT AGAIN HERE WE HAVE MY 1953 M21 RIGID / TELE I BOUGHT THIS BIKE IN A PILE OF BITS ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD STRIPPED IT DOWN AND THE FRONT END WAS MISSING – I SOURCED A GOLDSTAR FRONT END THAT CAME FROM THE USA AND PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER – THE FORKS ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME BUT WITH THE ADVANTAGE OF THE LARGER DIAMETER FRONT BRAKE WHICH WORKS REASONABLY WELL I HAVE DONE 281 MILES AND IT HASNT BROKEN DOWN YET!!! THE ENGINE HAD BEEN SENT AWAY TO A COMPANY CALLED “MINNOVATION RACING” WHO ARE STILL WELL KNOWN IN RACING CIRCLES AND BASED IN WAKEFIELD ONE OF THE OLD HANDS THERE USED TO TUNE THESE FOR HILLCLIMBING AND SPRINTS ETC THEY REBUILT THE ENGINE MAG AND DYNAMO – THE COST ACCORDING TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS £3000 IT CAME BACK WITH THE BIG MIKUNI CARB FITTED THAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS I DO HAVE THE CORRECT AMAL BUT IT RUNS SO MUCH BETTER AND STARTS EASIER FROM HOT WITH THE MIKUNI FITTED THE CLUTCH WAS COMPLETELY OVERHAULED AND A NEW PRIMARY CHAIN FITTED A NEW MAIN DRIVE CHAIN WAS ALSO FITTED THE SPEEDO WAS OVERHAULED BY DAVID AND PHILLIP WOODS IT HAS ALL NEW CABLES THE BIKE RUNS WELL AND IS EASY TO START (USUALLY) BUT THE PAINTWORK AND CHROME IS ROUGH THE REAR FOOTRESTS ARE MISSING THE CHAINGAURD IS MISSING THERE IS NO WIRING HARNESS THE N/S REAR FRAME LUG HAS HAD AN AMATEUR REPAIR MANY YEARS AGO BUT THIS COULD BE RECTIFIED EASILY I HAVE A CURRENT V5C IN MY NAME – THE NUMBER IS NOT TRANSFERABLE CASH ONLY ON COLLECTION PLEASE – NO MESSERS I AM FAR TOO BUSY I MAY BE ABLE TO HELP WITH DELIVERY – PLEASE ASK OBVIOUSLY SOLD AS SEEN – ITS AN ONGOING PROJECT STUDY THE PICTURES CAREFULLY UK BIDS ONLY AND PICK UP IN 7 DAYS PLEASE |
