HONDA XR750 Africa Twin 1997 RESTORED *SORTED & READY TO RIDE*
Owned by a mechanical engineer for the last six years, this iconic bike was completely rebuilt in 2024.
It starts, stops and rides perfectly with no faults. It gets light summer use and enjoyed a trip to the Isle of Man in June without missing a beat. Anyone can jump on this bike and enjoy many years of use from it; a difficult financial situation is forcing me to sell it… very reluctantly!
It benefits from:
– Powdercoated frame in 2024
– All new seals, bearings and bushes on all frame, suspension and steering components
– Full Arrow exhaust system (including headers) and Dynojet carb kit
– Nitron shock absorber and progressive fork springs
– Electronic fuel pump
– Full overhaul of the brakes including master cylinder rebuilds and braided hoses
– Heated grips
– Refurbished carbs including the extortionately pricey choke valves and guides
– Engine rebuild including the output shaft oil seal.
There is a very long list of other things that have been done to make this a reliable and usable bike with a big stack of receipts, photos and records of everything available to view.
Negative points:
– The £15 fork gaiters from Wemoto have split on both sides. The fork seals and dust caps (replaced during restoration) are fine.
– Some light scuffs to the backs of the mirrors and the skid plate
– Cracks in the seat cover
– MOT valid till March. I don’t have time to get it tested to sell with a full 12 months.
Also included in the sale are the original handlebars, brush guards and the additional engine bars.
