Yamaha RXS100 – 1994 classic 2 stroke

Great 2 stroke classic bike from 1994. I purchased this bike a number of years ago for my wife who has since ceased riding. It has always run great, and is great fun to ride as a novice or experienced rider. These 2 strokes are getting more and more collectible and this is a nice example. I have owned this bike for ~5 years now and full details of the good and the bad are below:

Good:

A lot of restoration work has been done on this bike, both by me and by the previous owner

Engine casings have been repainted

12v conversion has been carried out*

Forks have been rebuilt with new seals, oil and clips

Led brake / rear light, and LED bulbs fitted

Rear mud guard and chain guard were removed for weight saving, but original parts included with the sale

Kick starts first time and runs great

Bad:

Some age related marks throughout and on the wheels

Scuff of the exhaust

Original back cowling didn’t come with the bike when I purchased it

There is a suspected grounding issue which keeps a small drain on the battery when left – I suspect this was fallout from the 12v conversion. I have got around this by disconnecting the battery / connecting to the trickle charger when the bike is being left, and would have traced and fixed this had I been keeping the bike

The bike is currently without MOT but has always passed with flying colours – If I get the asking price I’ll get a fresh MOT in place giving you piece of mind
