Yamaha RD 250 for sale.
The bike started life as an air cooled RD 250 but has undergone extensive modification and restoration.
It’s had a single shock conversion using an RD 350 swingarm and RGV 250 rear shock absorber, genuine TZ aluminium wheels, RSV Millie front forks, mudguard and yokes, KOSO clocks and rev counter (needs setting up properly) TZR engine (rebuilt with rebored cylinders, new pistons, seals, gaskets, seals,power-valves, up-jetted carbs) hand made aluminium tank and seat pod, hand made rearsets, RD radiator, TZ switchgear, modified wiring harness, rims pre-mix.
The bike is a real head turner and always has people wanting to talk about it or pointing as you ride past and is definitely one of a kind.
It’s just not getting used as much as it should and would rather it be out and ridden as it should be, would even make a good track day bike.
Also just to clarify for any potentially interested buyers, the bike had sold just before Christmas on eBay, I was away with the wife and kids at the time and hadn’t realised there was no reserve on it, so I tried to cancel through eBay but it wouldn’t let me as there was less than 12hrs to go, so I had to let the auction run.
After the auction had ended I went through the process of cancelling the final bid and explained to the buyer what the situation was, he obviously wasn’t happy which resulted in me receiving negative feedback.
