Suzuki GT250 M 1976 Mostly Restored to a Decent Standard UK Matching Numbers

Suzuki GT250 M, from 1976, UK matching numbers correct bike, The story of this bike is one of a slow restoration, the owner before last started the restoration process in 2017, the engine was refurbished, the paint work was undertaken, fork legs refurbished, along with other work for which i have some information, the owner then had the misfortune to lose his leg due to complications after knee surgery, the bike was then sold to the gentleman that i purchased it from who placed the bike at the back of his lounge where it has stood for the past five years, further work was carried out during this period, eg, fully refurbished front and back wheels, hubs, new chain and sprockets, recent new tyres, new old stock front disc, seat refurbished, etc, the bike has only covered a couple of hundred miles since 2017, upon my purchasing the bike, I checked it over, installed the battery, put some fresh petrol in the tank and the bike started up after four or five kicks and sounds well, short video taken on the day the bike was first started after having been stood for five years, bike being started from cold hence my adjusting the choke, full walk around video available via Whatsapp, now for some further details, if there is such a thing then i would best describe the bike as having a healthy amount of patina for a fifty year old bike, the paintwork is very good with just one small chip on the tank, the tank is clean inside, the exhausts are solid with no rot and are well worth re chroming should that be your preference, the front mudguard has had a repair though has not been re chromed, see image, the left side cylinder has a small chip in one of the fins, see image, the kick start works as it should though has an incorrect bolt fastener that allows a little play in the arm, an easy repair, other than that the bike is what you can see from the provided images, I had intended to improve and use this bike myself but find it a bit small and so have now set my mind on a larger triple cylinder two stroke, the bike has been put into my storage with AFC50 applied for the Winter, if you are interested then i recommend that you view the bike as even the best photos tend to miss some details, so there you have it, a good looking, honest, clean Suzuki GT250 M, mostly restored to a decent standard, can easily be improved to a higher level of restoration, log book in my name and at my current address, no swaps, reasonably priced, £3,599 ovno, small deposit to secure, viewing at Chesterfield, Derbyshire, tel Mick 01246 276264, mob 07919121093.
