Restored 1983 Husqvarna XC500

1983 500XC for sale in the UK – This little beauty has to go, just completed resto, no expense spared. You can see from the photos.

It came in to the UK from the US, I have the Nova number so it can be registered.

Almost everything new and improved, I have yet to start the engine, carb needs tweaking but it’s too darn hard for me to kick it over whilst I get that sorted. 

brand new wiring loom, piston, clutch and basket, all bearings, fuel tap, footpegs, brake and gear levers, all new plastics and headlight (needs bulb) new Michelin tyres with Mousses, newly respoked back wheel, forks and shocks rebuilt… the list of new parts is very long.

It needs a back brake pedal switch and a new clutch side case gasket (just liquid gasket at the moment)

It looks brand new.

Now, I am looking for £4,000 for it or, if there is enough interest I will consider breaking it. It would be a shame to do that but the parts are worth a lot more than the asking price.

I was originally building this to take it Rallying, then I realised just how hard these are to kick over…. Doh!

It has to go soon, my garage is overflowing.
