For sale my one of a kind 1979 Z500
Z1R Mini Me/Zee
I set out to build a minature Sanctuary Japan Bike-always liked the air cooled middleweight Z range-
So the list of parts is fairly long-
Needed to update the handling and power so:
The build was entrusted to Ray and Steve Debben at Debben Performance the well know engine and frame builders of drag bikes and retro racers/
A 1986 last of the line GPZ 550 Engine was sourced which duly fitted with no modifications and and added an immediate extra dollop of power- 45BHP to 60BHP with the
Debben Performance blueprinted.
The Frame was welded and gusseted in several places to stiffen and handle the extra power. (As done to the Z900 Frames when adding power and stiffen the Chassis)
Showa Shocks were sourced from Japan-(Absolutely stunning)
Front Forks, Rear Swinging Arm Brakes and Wheels all from Suzuki Bandit-Almost a straight swap/like they were made for the Z and fatter tyres just look incredible on this bike-
Brake pads and Brembo discs added
Adjustable Brembo Brake and Clutch levers
Digital Kosso Speedometer and Rev Counter with Custom sourced Z900 Lookalike Meter/Gauge Bracket

The Bike has just had a small (but expensive) overhaul by Tony Galea (massively experienced Motorcycle Mechanic) at (Tony Galea Camchains) and is in fantastic running condition-great to ride with a beautiful inline Four wail but not too loud-and with a standard GpZ engine the bike is reliable and V Fast.
I have spent a small fortune building or rather having built for me-unable to do justice and ride this lovely machine any more.
Motorcycle is in London NW1-
