Yamaha YZF-750R An exceptional opportunity to own a fine example of yet another of Yamaha’s great creations from 1998 — the Yamaha YZF-750 R Exup. Developed with input from the track, it delivers uncompromising race-inspired performance in a road-legal package and is one of the great superbikes on the roster before the era of the R1 and 1 Litre power units. Finished in Yamaha’s iconic Red and White, this example is in superb condition — equally suited as a collector’s centrepiece or an electrifying road machine. There are barely any nicks/blots, couple of tiny paint chips (photos with pointers) and the temp gauge isn’t working, otherwise it’s perfect.

Reason for sale: when I took it out in anger, I realised it’s too scary and at 61, I’ve lost my nerve (or become sensible)! I’m never going to use it in it’s power band – a younger / braver rider deserves that privilege. Highlights: Inline 4 carb engine – 121 bhp at 12,000 rpm – a rev-hungry screamer. Adjustable suspension with preload and damping adjustment.

Two almost brand new Continentals (fitter’s stickers are still part there) with only 100-odd miles used.

Recently serviced and given the TLC by a mainstream, family-run Bike & Classic Car Dealer in Essex.

This machine comes with a comprehensive (enormous) package of historic servicing info, original Owner’s Manual and (brilliant Japanese cultural thought) a Motorcycle Skill Test and Practice booklet.

MOT till Feb 2027 and two sets of keys.

Get this incredible machine in time for the sunny weather!

It runs as it should do and for it’s age and low mileage, is a superb example of the era.

I have a cold-start 30s vid which I couldn’t upload I’d be happy to WhatsApp to you. Also happy to show all the paperwork in a vid-call too – there is too much to photograph!
