1995 Suzuki GN250 White VERY RARE EX POLICE BIKE Motorbike
Here for sale, most likely once in a lifetime opportunity to own this extremely rare Gn250 police bike, back in the day these were modified with a police siren, beacon, full fairing and the pillion boxes. This still has the metal back bracket with the top pillion box attached and the mount for the beacon with the wiring still present for that. The front fiberglass fairing is mounted on some very hefty looking mounting brackets, this clearly isn’t some cheap backyard bodge! These were used back in the day because they were lightweight and nimble so much easier to potter about on getting to jobs. This is all original, you can cross reference to the only photos of this bike I can find on the Internet! There is no history online of a single one of these being listed or sold at all in the uk! This sort of thing definitely won’t come up again!
Right, more about the bike!
So, having serviced the carburettor, after sitting inside a garage for the past 15 years and a new battery she sprung into life! I then went and replaced the spark plug, spark plug cap, air filter, fuel pipes, cleaned all the rubbish out the fuel tank, oil and oil filter. The only main things I’ve noticed that may need attention is the forks, they do have some pitting but not enough for it to be leaking having ridden this about for a little and also the exhaust end can, has a rusted through hole in the underneath of it, makes the bike sound like an absolute weapon but will need patching before mot 😂😂
It starts on the button easily, even leaving it for a week in this cold weather it doesn’t hesitate one bit!
All lights, dash, hi and lo beam, horn (sounds comical🤣) stop light all work, 3 of the 4 indicators work, believe its rear left indicator that doesn’t light up, the rear right indicator lights up instead when you put the left indicator on so I think the wires are just the wrong way round or a bulb may have popped.
There is rust on most of the chrome Bodywork on the bike unfortunately. I have polished this up the best I can and it is very presentable but if you want perfection, bit of sanding and chrome paint and will look 👌.
Sadly the windshield does have a crack in it, I do have the little clear bit of missing plastic and I’m sure with some plastic weld this is repairable to make it look really good! Both tires hold air well and it’s sporting a pair of retro pirelli tires! both have very deep tread still. Both brakes work.
Overall its a nice solid bike! With a little tidying you can return it to its former glory or put back on the road for an awesome cruiser bike! the fairing does keep you very warm too! 😂

Relisted due to a time waster- the v5 is still in the guys father who passed away that I bought this and a few other bikes off, I never bothered switching v5 as it just adds another owner onto the history, I see no point! I’ll help fill it out though and send it off 🙂.

Having recieved loads of interest on this listing already, I have found out some info on this bike, I have been told this is an ex-gmp (Greater Manchester police force bike). There are 2 of these that have been fully restored and put into preservation, meaning that there is a good chance that this is one of the only ones in the uk that is still out in the wild!
