I gave it a bit of a restoration around that time, stripped it back to the frame and had it powder coated in white. Went for the blue plastics tank and I found someone breaking a nearly new accident damaged DTRE so I had the black swing arm, carb and front brake master cylinder.

Recent Engine work done, Top end rebuild with rebored cylinder, new piston rings and head gasket and base gasket (still needs running in) I Sourced a 3 wire electronic power valve from Poland. New Clutch and gearbox oil, new seals on the water pump, kick start and gear lever, swapped the majority of the engine bolts to stainless allen key studs. Cleaned out and got the 2 stroke pump all back up and running, New air filer clutch and tacho cables.

Other work carried out, replacement back wheel and new wheel bearings front and rear, replacement front brake calliper and re-built rear calliper (new fluid in each) 2 new maxxis tyres. Replacement forks and new fork gaters, dep back box has just been re-packed – not sure on the make of the front pipe but its and aftermarket de-restricted pipe.

Updated front mudguard and rear tail tidy with led lights to make it look a little more modern and clean – originals will be included in the sale. I also removed the indicators for a cleaner look – a brand new set will be provided with the sale if needed.

Other bits – this is an early full power model I believe without the restrictions of later models and it took be a few months to find the electronic power valve. It’s been a labour of love more than anything else but I just wanted to get her back into life ready for the new owner. Condition wise, the plastics and tank have light scuffs, the worst being to the headlight plastic ect she’s not a full nut and bolt resto – just in nice unusable condition, I also had some extended brackets made for the linkage back end to sit a bit higher.

12 months MOT – she went straight through with no advisories, I’ve spent a small fortune on this bike over the years but I now need the space – If I was keeping her, I’d probably replace the disks at some point, and repaint the expansion chamber and a new set of graphics would finish it off.
