Kawasaki GT 750 P4 1987
Kawasaki GT750 P4 1987 29,870 miles
MOT to 5th April 2024 but it has only done the few miles back from the MOT Station since then and she will pass again no problem. Starts and runs fine but she’s been stood for over a year so really needs a good run out with fresh fuel.
I bought this bike in early 2021 as a “barn find” as it had been stood in a garage for at least a decade, if not longer. New battery and full recommissioning service done in 2021 including tank clean, carb strip, ultrasonic clean and rebalance. All brake callipers rebuilt with new seals and new brake pads and fluid front and rear, new spark plugs, new fuel tap (not rebuild), new battery, front fork rebuild with new oil, gaiters and seals, transmission oil and engine oil change.
I fitted R&G Heated Grips properly wired into a relay, a Givi top box, large windshield and hand guards; this is a great bike to ride in all weathers. Brand new Avon Road Rider MkII’s fitted front and rear in 2022 with new tyre valves they’ve only covered a couple of hundred miles. Similarly, new YSS shocks also fitted in 2022.
I fitted modified foam filters (removed the foam and fitted tubes inside to emulate velocity stacks so they work with the CV carbs) but I will include the original airbox in case you want to refit that but she runs fine with the modified filters. Also comes with a brand new spare screen and the original rear shocks if you want them.
I didn’t restore the bike, she is a survivor and as such has plenty of “character” but everything works as it should and makes her a very usable bike with the legendary Kawasaki 750 air-cooled 4 cylinder engine. I used her regularly through 2021 and 2022 covering around 5,000 miles, but she didn’t get a run out last year as I bought a modern bike so time to move on.
