This bike has had two restorations, one by a guy in Arizona who was a big Suzuki fan, I bought it from him about 15 years ago and shipped it back. It has sat quietly in my personal collection during that time. I then decided that it should be ridden, or at least offer it out to someone who wanted / needed one.

The wheels are original, they have not been rebuilt and are near perfect, which shows the amount of use it originally had. The forks are also original with new seals fitted.The bike was an original, low hour bike which had a light restoration. It has a new bore @ .50 piston. The only reason it has has two sizes is that it didn’t quite clear on .25. This is what I was told when I bought it, and I did check it when it arrived, just for peace of mind. The motor is crisp, responsive and obviously everything works.

I went through the whole bike again last year and corrected any missing or non OEM parts. I did nick a few bits off it over the years in emergency situations, when I needed a part fast to keep my race bike going.

All plastics, levers, throttle body, screws and bolts, tyres, cables, chain and sprockets etc are new, genuine Suzuki parts. The fuel tank has never had fuel in it, I found a NOS one about 10 years ago, not that there was much wrong with the one it had.

In my opinion, this is one of the best open class bikes ever built. They aren’t the beasts people talk about, they are a gentle giant with absolutely beautiful power delivery through the mid range. The suspension was the best of the era and nearly as good as many bikes today. I have raced them for nearly 30 years.

This machine needs nothing. But if you were going to race it, I would recommend it goes on the Dyno to check the jetting, just to be on the safe side. This is something I can arrange very easily if you don’t have access to one.
