Suzuki GS1000GL 1981 Project Barn Find, Good, 28k, Blue
Video just uploaded of the bike being jump started, it clearly shows that the motor is not seized, in response to questions I’m getting.
Here we have my project GS1000GL US import in need of tlc. As you can see from the pics it’salmost complete, all i can see missing is a right side panel, indicators and maybe a headlight.
I bought this a few months ago with the full intention of restoring it but ive since bought another project and this later bike will be the new focus.
This bike is the shaft drive version and is very popular with trike converters.
The bike will need complete investigation before any attempt is made to start it.
Looking at the paperwork it was sold through the D & K network in 2013, i doubt its been looked at since, the tank is good and solid as there is a substantial amount of really old petrol in there which stinks! But at least its kept the corrosion out!
I have NOVA documents here showing duties have been paid, making uk registration that much simpler.
You will need a van or trailer to collect.
