1979 Suzuki GS1000l 38000 Miles Midnight Blue, Practical Classic Motorcycle.
This is my GS1000L which is a usable classic the frame was power coated about 22yrs ago and has a few marks but is still fairly good. The rest of the paint is in good condition as is the chrome, the carbs have recently been rebuild and there is a new choke cable but it needs attention to make it work more smoothly.
The engine oil was changed about 6 months ago and the sump bolt changed from 14mm to 15mm at that time.
The headlight bulb is a self cooling LED.
The exhaust is a stainless 4 into 1 Delkevic in very good condition.
Luggage is by Hepco & Becker and in good condition apart from one barrel on one of the panniers. It was meant for a GS850 which has a longer top frame but has been adapted.
Mileage is just under 38000. I have three slotted discs from a GL model and new pads along with original rear grab rail & handle bars, plus other parts from a GS850L. The bike is honest for one that is 46yrs old and has its faults it is an historic motorcycle so no tax or MOT.
