This 1977 bike was imported from Italy in 1996 and given an age-related number plate by the DVLA.  I have owned it since then, the previous owner shown on the V5 is the importer.  The bike was used as my regular transport for 10+ years but the original engine suffered from low compression and poor starting, so I decided to upgrade the engine, brakes and suspension.  This work was carried out around 2010-2014 mostly using second-hand component from later Suzuki models.  Here is what I did:

Engine:  a GSX1100 engine was purchased, stripped down, inspected and rebuilt with new gaskets and Stainless bolts.  A Dyna-S ignition has been fitted along with Dyna coils.

Front end:  a pair of GSX750 forks, GSX600 brakes and a GS500 front wheel were used with GSX600 yokes

Rear end:  a GSX1100 swinging arm, GSF600 Bandit rear wheel with a GS500 sprocket carrier and GS500 rear brake.

All of this work has been notified to the DVLA and the bike is now classed as a ‘Historic Vehicle’ and is Tax and MOT exempt.

For insurance purposes an Engineers report was obtained in 2014 and I have had no problem getting Classic Bike insurance.

I also have some old MOT certificates from 2016-2018 when the bike was in it’s current condition.

Unfortunately I have not used the bike much since then and it has only covered 500 odd miles in that time, so it needs a new owner to take it on.  It is complete, running and rideable, but has spent most of time in storage so needs servicing and checking over before any serious use.

The mileage is currently showing 70,000, but this is only an approximation as the clocks were changed from KPH one’s.  Also, I have no idea of the Engine mileage as it was not in a bike when I bought it.

Cosmetically it does have some issues, the worst of which are the chipped fins on the engine, but many items are scratched, chipped or dented with some rust patches.  PLEASE STUDY THE PICTURES CAREFULLY.
