1976 Yamaha FS1 – Chrome, special edition for Germany.

This is a very special and very rare moped/motorbike. Yamaha only made so many of them in this Chrome colour for the German market.

As you can see in the documents, the FS1E Owners Club have recognised that it was manufactured in February 1976. It would of been imported from Japan into Germany in June or July of 1976.

I don’t have much history on the bike apart from that it was bought by the previous owner with a bulk of motorbikes and this very bike was part of the collection, then he sold it to me in March 2020.

Every since then I have spent lots of money restoring it for my 16th birthday and obviously went through the system to register it on the road in the UK. All the documents are disclosed in the pictures.

It also comes with a brand new spark plug and with the spark plug spanner it came with when I bought the bike.

I have the V5C Logbook registered in my name, matching engine and frame numbers and the engine runs mint. My Dad who is a mechanic rebuilt the engine from scratch and it kicks over first time everytime when it was being used on a regular basis. It takes only two kicks with a bit of choke to get it going and runs mint even with a few months old fuel. The bike also rides perfect as it should. Other original bits that I took off the bike to restore it will come with it as I bought mostly new parts when I restored it.
