Honda cb250 k4 1974 uk bike

I’ve owned this bike around 18 months, prior to my ownership it had been sat in silloth bike museum, the museum owner was a friend of the owner and as he wasn’t using the bike it had sat in there for several years.

Prior to this the bike had had a sympathetic rebuild and been sensibly modded into very cool and useable bike. Brief spec from when I bought the bike.

I bought the bike as a runner, unfortunately with it being sat it wasn’t…. I fully stripped and rebuilt the carbs using new parts where necessary. I also found that one of the plug threads had been repaired which I wasn’t 100% happy with. I removed the head and barrel to do a proper repair, I then had the valves re-ground, seats re-cut and lapped in by Dave @ D&M engineering. I then re assembled with all new gaskets.

Whilst there the cam was ID’d by Dave, he also confirmed the compression had been raised slightly and porting was good. I also confirmed the bores were mint and pistons were on first oversize, a worthwhile exercise in the end.

I also fitted a full new set of clutch plates and ebc springs.

The bike currently has a uk front mudguard fitted and a CL rear, I have the uk rear guard and also a carbon fibre front mud gaurd to go with the bike.

There’s also a smaller triumph rear light fitted.

Other spares include standard pipes, New old stock clutch and throttle cables and various other odds and ends.

As mentioned the bike has had a sympathetic restoration a number of years ago, the gold parts still look very fresh, the frame has various marks around it and the chrome work all has some ‘patina’ for want of a better word.

I’ve just fitted a new battery and the bike starts on the button, rides lovely and goes and stops well, really cool little useable classic that’s always well admired.
