Price: 2,100.00 GBP
Honda CB 360 motorcycle 1974
I purchased this bike from the guy who had completed a 1000-mile charity ride from Lands’ end to John O’Groats.
Prior to the ride he completed the following work.
The frame and all black parts have been re-sprayed in 2k black gloss.
The engine (have a listen to the video of it running) was stripped, vapour blasted & re-built with new pistons, cam chain, seals & gaskets.
The wheels were stripped, new stainless spokes fitted, vapour blasted hubs and new bearings fitted.
It has new genuine 34mm Mikuni carbs, for better reliability.
The seat was recovered, new chain, sprocket, cables, handle bars, throttle, new front mudguard, front brake pads, rear shoes, silencers and handlebar switches.
On purchase of this bike my brother-in-law rode it the 300 miles back to my house and it never missed a beat.
I was aware that there were a few things needed to be done to get this bike up to tip top nick and they are:
The indicators are not working but today I’ve noticed that there are no bulbs in 3 of them, I’m assuming the other bulb has blown.
Headlight, the bulb has blown and I have one on order, should be here in a couple of days.
The starter motor spins but not engaging the engine. Hence, it’s kick start only at present.
The clutch needs adjusting. I’m planning to look at that tomorrow.
I brought this bike to go on an organised bike holiday with friends. I can’t see me getting this bike ready for the trip. So I’m going on something else.
2) Having only just brought this bike I’m thinking a newer bike will suit me better as I will need something for work during the summer.
