1967 BSA Lightning
I purchased this in 2003 and did a frame up restoration at that time and just recently did a top end rebuild. It has SS spokes, chrome rims, tri-spark ignition, podtronics, sleeved carbs, QPD belt drive primary, other than those items it’s correct for the period. Sort of a resto mod, if you will. The pictures don’t do it justice with the Candy Apple Red and Chrome. Looks original but has the stuff to make it reliable. I’ve won a couple awards with it at local events in the Los Angeles area but since I’ve moved to Nevada, I just don’t get it out much and don’t want it to just sit. It does have a couple issues, a very small chip in the paint on the gas tank and the trip odometer doesn’t seem to be working correctly, a broken fin on the top of the left cylinder, a small paint chip on the right side cover by the oil fill and, a small crack in the paint on the left side cover at the very top front. I have a clean California Title in my name.
