1966 Harley-Davidson FLH

Up for auction today I have my latest restored Harley. This one is a 1966 FLH painted back to the original Holiday Red and Burch White. The Vin number is 66FLH14882 with matching belly numbers #166-8107.I have a clear Michigan title in my name.

The motor and trans have both been gone through. It has all new Rods, Fly Wheels, and Bearings. The cylinders were bored to 40 over with new pistons, and Hastings rings. Valves were ground and lapped with valve seals installed. It has the original Linkert DC7 Carb with original choke and air cleaner cover. Original rebuilt generator and all new gaskets, seals, and any parts showing ware replaced.

I will try to describe some of the things that have been done to this bike. Please look at all the pictures for the true condition of this restored bike. This 66 is the first-year flat side Shovelhead. It has the one-year Linkert DC7 Carb. and the only year with the right-side petcock. It has very nice Chrome Rocker covers and Cam cover. Polished fork lower legs, front brake side plate, and Cowling. The Frame, Swing Arm, Oil tank, Battery carrier, and most other black parts were Powder Coated Gloss Black. It has new chrome rims, stainless spokes, and new tires, with rebuilt wheel hubs. The rear brake has new master cylinder, wheel cylinder, and pads. The front brake has new pads, and cable. It also has a complete new wire harness. The bike has all new cables, new rubber control pads, foot boards, etc. It has rebuilt original shocks, new complete exhaust, new seat, all new locks with keys for everything, including the neck lock. Some of the chrome parts are original and have been replated, some are replica replacement parts as needed.

Everything on this bike has been repaired, replaced, or rebuilt to be as close to original as I could make it.

The bike has not been started since restoration. It does not have oil or gas installed. The bike has completely checked out. All wiring checked and working, Carb has been set to factory settings, timing set, and new battery installed. It is ready to add to your collection or museum, or add the gas and oil start it, make minor final adjustments and ride.

Please check all the pictures and ask any questions that you might have and I will get you a speedy answer.

A lot of people asked why I had not started this bike since restoration. It was because collectors don’t want oil and gas in their museums. SO I ADDED OIL AND GAS TO THIS BIKE AND STARTED IT. IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND PUMPED OIL. IT WILL STILL NEED THE FINAL CARB ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE IT IS SET PERFECT. IT HAS NO PLATE OR INSURANCE SO I DID NOT TAKE IT FOR A RIDE, THAT IS UP TO THE NEW OWNER.

I added 6 pictures of the 66 FLH in Black and Burch White that I just finished. I can add this to eBay if you are interested in buying it. It has not been started. I accept bank transfer for payment
