triumph speed twin 5ta bath tub barn find matching numbers
1959 Triumph Speed twin barn find. This bike was dry stored for over 40 years in a workshop after the crank was removed for repair . Last registered on DVLA computer in July 1979 so V5 can be retrieved.
Requires full restoration but has original bathtub with original inner rear mudguard (rare part), Roman helmet front mudguard. Fork shrouds and nacelle, petrol and oil tanks and rolling chassis c/ w footrests and centre stand.
Matching numbers and original registration number. Delivered to E. S. Longstaff motorcycle dealer in Edmonton North London on 10th July 1959, first year of the Unit 500cc.
Engine requires crankshaft but all other parts including gearbox internals, clutch, primary drive, cams, cylinder head and barrel’s included. No speedo lights or wiring loom.
Will make a good project of the first year of the unit 500 Cc Speed Twin.
I will take to VMCC Shepton Mallet Autojumble on Saturday 9th March if not sold.
