This has been my wife’s bike since 2011. It has a low seat height. She has now given up riding, and I am not using it much, so it needs a new keeper. It has a hand gear change on the right, and a hand throttle on the right. The foot brake is also on the right, so it all takes a bit of getting used to!The engine is a Villiers 8D 122cc twin exhaust port 2 stroke. It has its original Lincolnshire registration number, reclaimed so NON TRANSFERABLE. It now lives east of Lincoln, only 6 miles from where it was first registered in 1936.Performances wise, think early Bantam or James, but of course a much rarer sight on the road.
Montgomery made motorcycles in Coventry up until WW2, when the Luftwaffe put paid to the factory and production never resumed.
