FOR SALE – 1926 LEVIS MOTORCYCLE

Levis Model K 250cc 2-Stroke in good used condition – the bike does not appear to have been restored but there are a couple of older repairs to the mudguards. I fitted new tyres after I bought the bike and the previous owner told me he had recently fitted a new oil pump. An easy starter, the bike runs and stops absolutely fine, very lightweight, nimble and sturdy, all parts working as they should. Owned by me for the last 10 years and ridden in many VMCC runs and shows – the bike is great fun and always raises a smile from bystanders. Awarded the VMCC North Birmingham Section’s Levis Cup Road Trial Tankard in 2022 for “Best performance on a Levis motorcycle” (Trial = 90 miles approx).

This Levis “The Master 2-Stroke” Model K was made by Butterfields, Stetchford, Birmingham in 1926. The legend on the right hand side of petrol tank “Levis et Celer” roughly translates as “Light and Quick”.

3-speed hand change Burman gearbox.

Lever controls – throttle, air, magneto advance/retard, valve-lifter (decompression).

Separate oil compartment in the petrol tank and adjustable flow oil pump (no oil/petrol mixing required).

Good beaded edge tyres.

Banbury Run eligible.

V5C in my name – registration format (eg. XX1234) is appropriate for pre 1930.
