For sale my RGV 250 unfinished project.This is a 1988 K series model imported from Japan and first registered in the uk in 2000.
The bike had been sat in the back of a dealers workshop for several years with bits being gradually sold off it. (Fairings, headlamp, seats)As it was in generally sound original condition and was told it was parked up as a runner, I thought it was worth sorting.Since last year I have spent far too many (enjoyable) hours in the garage.Unfortunately, we moved house 6 months ago and I dont have the space to finish it.Here is a list of new items fitted and whats required to complete the build.New parts :Fork seals.Wheel bearings (F & R).Sprocket bearing.Swingarm bearings.DID chain and sprockets.Tyres.Carb, choke, speedo, clutch cables.Grips, levers, bar ends.Mirrors.Brake pads (F & R)Battery, gearbox oil, spark plugs.Complete set of aftermarket plastic (not fibreglass) bodywork including screen. (amazed at the quality to be honest).Full set of fairing bolts.Other works.Uk headlamp sourced.Superb front and rear seats.Exhausts sanded and resprayed.Rebuilt front calipers with new pistons.Front and rear sub frames powder coated.Carbs professionaly stripped and cleaned.All metal brackets done in dark green.
The bike has one original key (plus spare) which fits all locks.
It has a strong spark and good compression.
Electrics work and powervalves turn freely.
Work to complete:
Brakes bleeding, oil pump checking, radiator, oil and water tanks refilling.
Bodywork fitting (also a couple of missing decals fitting – included).
Petrol tank has some marks and small dent so will need cleaning and repainting.
No attempt has been made to start the bike, as im sure any prospective buyer will want to check things over (power valves, oil pump etc) beforehand.
I probably will have forgotten something, but I am pretty sure everything is here to complete the build.

This will make a nice bike once completed.
