The 1988 Kawasaki GPZ900R motorcycle is a classic super sport bike.
This is a German import I bought the bike from Chiemgau-Classics.Com back in October 2020. I have registered the bike 01.03.2021 and now have the V5C for the vehicle. It has a valid MOT which expires 05.06.2026. The bike needed some work doing to it when it arrived. The water drainage pipe around the petrel cap had been filled in for some reason and water was getting into the carbs !!!! No idea why but this has been repaired as it should be. The petrol tank and body work was in very good condition and has had a complete re spray in its correct colour scheme. I have made several additions being Oxford heated grips, Oxford USB port, sat nav electrical connection lead, Optimate charging lead and fitted new Avon Mark 2 Roadrider tyres when I registered the vehicle. They are still in very good condition and enough tread left for another tour. It has had a new chain and sprocket set fitted in May 2025 so brand spanking new. I changed the handlebars to an ABM Superbike kit which is for the Kawasaki which makes the ride a bit more comfortable for touring. Less Tom Cruise. Also fitted a new MRA windscreen for touring, I have the original screen should you wish to refit it. Also the wing mirrors have been changed to suit the bike as the original mirrors are completely useless. The bike comes with two keys for the ignition on one key for the seat release. Also there is a service manual which is a reprint of the original but a really useful bit of kit. The petrol cap area has Hepco & Becker magnets fitted for a Hepco & Becker tank bag which is available separately should you wish to buy. Failing that I have the original fittings that can be replaced. The bike is great to ride, looks good, sounds good and a real classic. Reluctant to sell but needs must. Thanks for looking.
Please note the speedometer is in kilometres, present reading 49108 kilometres ( 30514.3 miles) and the mileage stated will be more as I am still riding it. I’ve added a video for your entertainment it also shows how the tie down bars work for holding on a seat bag.
