Up for auction is my Suzuki RV50 VanVan, a rare little classic that I bought around 11 years ago with the plan of restoring. Unfortunately, I haven’t managed to get around to it, and it deserves to be put back on the road.
- Purchased in the UK, with the previous owner having originally imported it from France – comes with Declaration de Cession paperwork.
- It will require registering with the DVLA should you wish to use it on UK roads.
Condition:
- Frame is solid and in good condition, but could do with a paint refresh.
- Top white panel requires repair where it attaches under the seat.
- Seat needs recovering.
- Engine casings, lights and a few small parts will need sourcing.
- Replacement exhaust included (not yet fitted).
- No obvious rust.
Mechanical:
- Engine appears to have good compression, but I’ve not tried to start it.
- Gears select and appear to work fine.
Extras Included:
- 2 x genuine Suzuki parts catalogues.
This is a great project for someone who loves small Japanese classics. The RV50 VanVan is becoming harder to find, and this example would make a very rewarding restoration.
I’ll genuinely be sad to see it go!
