1973 Suzuki RV 125

For over forty years I have been a restoring motorcycles of all kinds but for the past ten years I’ve been specializing in the two stroke model Suzuki Rv's. However, it’s now time for me to hang up my spanners, as I will be moving out of the country in the autumn. 

The first item that I’m selling is my 1973, L reg Suzuki Rv125. This is the first edition K model that came to the market before the later ones that were fitted with the plastic battery cover. It’s a great bike to use without having to do too much to it, or it would make a perfect base to start a restoration on, as most of the usual bad bits that you sometimes find on these bikes are in remarkably good condition to start with. The original swan neck kick start lever does not slip and engages with ease and whilst using an attached auxiliary fuel tank the bike starts easily and runs good. Two stroke oil pump is connected up and working. It’s still dressed in its original 1973 green paintwork and also has very good solid standard seat base and original cover! The exhaust and heat shield are excellent, as is the neck part. Handlebars are straight with no bends, the fork stanchionchrome is excellent and do not have any pitting on them. Very good rear shocks with no rust or oil leaks. The rear mudguard, which are prone to rot from the inside, is solid with no rust.This bike is ‘Fifty’ years old and is in mostly original condition with virtually no parts missing.

Comes with its ignition key 

V5 in my name.

*The bike is sold as running a project that requires work/tidying.

*The indicators and lights are not connected up and it will also need a new battery.

*Non original, working copy hand pump fitted.
